What To Expect

Picture
Matrix Repatterning is a series of treatments aimed to identify and remove the layers of internal  tension responsible for your symptoms.  For best results, it is recommended to schedule 3-5 treatments, a week apart, to help your body realign its structure.   From there, less frequent treatments are required.  The total number of treatments will vary, depending on the unique history of impacts you've had over your life time.

During your initial visit you will:
  • Be asked to fill out a health history form
  • Go through a clinical assessment which includes a postural examination, range of motion, neurological, and joint stability tests and muscle palpation
  • Have a global assessment, using the Matrix scanner. This will identify the location of any primary restrictions
  • Introduction to treatment approach

During all your sessions (includes assessment and treatment) you are fully clothed. You are asked to wear something comfortable so that your mobility is not restricted. Drink water before and after your treatments to help to rehydrate your cells.

How You May Feel After a Treatment

Picture
  • It is not uncommon to experience flu type symptoms (achiness, chills, nausea, headache, sweating) for 1 – 3 days after treatment. This is your body’s response to releasing toxins. It is very important to drink lots of water to help rehydrate your cells and flush out the toxins.
  • Because we are treating your body at a cellular level, and in turn, changing the structural integrity of your entire body which results in you moving differently, you may experience an increase in pain at your current pain location or pain in a different location for 1 – 3 days after treatment, until your body adjusts to its new balance.
Please note: Pain is never a good indicator of how well you are progressing. Please remember that pain is your body’s way of telling you that you are out of balance. We are more interested in changes that occur to your range of motion (flexibility) and postural changes. The intensity and location of your pain will change throughout the course of your treatments; once enough layers of restrictions are removed, allowing your body to function more optimally, the pain will resolve itself.

Home Care Recommendations

Picture
  • Rest - do not do any strenuous exercise for a couple of days after your treatments to give your body the chance to realign it self and find its new balance
  • Drink lots of water to rehydrate the cells
  • Stay warm – take an Epsom Salts Bath
  • Self-awareness – take note of any changes that you notice between treatments
